My name is Bernice Sparks and my husband, Tony, and I have 2 great kids and 6 precious grandkids. We are blessed to get to spend a lot of time with our family as they all live in the Fisher area.
For 35 years I have thoroughy enjoyed teaching at the Fisher Grade School. While teaching in Fisher, I started as a First Grade Teacher, and then moved to teaching Transitional First Grade for several years. In June 2016, I retired from my teaching position after spending 13 years as a Kindergarten teacher.
During my teaching career, I was instrumental in the planning and implementation of the current Cross-Age Tutoring Program (Student Services) as well as the current Mentoring Program at both the Grade School and High School.
My 'extra' time is spent with my family, or planning things to do with my family.
I am excited to have this opportunity to continue my teaching career in my retirement years. Sharing the love of Jesus, and the love of learning with your child will bring much joy to my life.
My name is Rhonda Hauser. My husband Neal and I have four children. Emily, Bradley, Daniel and Allison...and two beautiful granddaughters: Alyssa and Anna.
Although I graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a degree in Elementary Education, the majority of my professional experience has been in the world of preschool. I was the Children's Program Coordinator at Mahomet Public Library for six years. My main responsibility as "Miss Rhonda" was planning and implementing story time for children ages 18 months through five years of age. I have also had the opportunity of being the Preschool Curriculum Editor and writer for Word of Life Fellowship. I also had the privilege of being a teacher's aide for two years in Mrs. Sparks' Kindergarten classroom at Fisher Grade School.
In my free time I love to read and spend time with my family.
I am so looking forward to being a part of your child's first adventure into the wonderful world of learning.
MEET OUR TEAM
Hi, my name is Erica Watterson and my husband and I had the priviledge of having both our children attend This Little Light of Mine Christian Preschool. We absolutely love the small classroom size, pre-k curriculum, and Bible exposure.
I also had the opportunity to do some subbing in both classrooms and assist during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and End of the Year activities during the 2016-17 school year. I'm so excited to have been offered a position to now co-teach the 3 year olds.
Additionaly, I am a Registerned Nurse and will be able to meet the needs of TLLOM as a school nurse on a day to day basis. I am looking forward to using my knowledge at a preschool level and teach the children about hand washing, healthy habits, nutrition, and our bodies.
Mrs. Bernice Sparks is my mom and she has taught me so much over the years including the value of education and the compassion needed to make it fun. I am so excited to be given this opportunity to teach your children as they begin their educational journey. I would like to think that I am a small extension of her wisdom and grace that she shows to each child and their family.
